804-1 Change of Address

Effective: December 1, 2009 - October 31, 2010

Previous Policy Reference

An enrollee may report an address change to either their current worker or a worker in their new location. Update the address information and make any necessary changes.

If the Post Office returns mail with no forwarding address, but the client has reported a new address, resend the mail to the client's new address. If there is no forwarding address, see Sec. 803-2.

If a change of address could affect the client's eligibility, request any other information needed to determine the effect of the change.

When a household reports a change of address, ask the household if they want to register to vote. See Section 101 for further information and instructions. When the address change results in the case being transferred to another office, the worker who receives the address change needs to address the voter registration requirement.
