Previous Policy Reference
The following situations do not require 10 day advance notice. In these situations, eligibility may cease immediately and without prior notice. Send a notice at the time you complete the action to terminate coverage.
The enrollee is deceased.
The enrollee has moved out of state and is not expected to return.
The enrollee has entered a public institution.
The enrollee is eligible for Medicaid assistance.
The enrollee has enrolled in other private or employer-sponsored health insurance coverage.
The enrollee's whereabouts are unknown and the Post Office returns mail indicating there is no forwarding address. See Section 803-2.
The enrollee requests in writing that his case be closed.
