410  EARNED INCOME

Earned income is income in cash or in-kind for which a person performs a service.  It includes non-cash benefits the individual receives as a reward for service such as free shelter or vendor payments.  Earned income received by a child who is not the head of household is not counted.  See sections 401-3 and 410-8.
